Take My Hand

by Andrew McDowell

Lost in the darkness, down so deep,
Without a sense of where to turn,
It would be a mountain too steep.
Yet light is shining to discern.

Take my hand, you are not alone.
Come with me and I’ll go with you.
Along this path and up high stone,
Together we shall see this through.

It won’t be easy as you climb.
You may slip and stop in your stride.
Yet even in this darkest time,
Remember who is by your side.

Take my hand, you are not alone.
Come with me and I’ll go with you.
Keep your eyes where the birds have flown.
Know I’ll always with be with you.
