You reached down and took hold of me,
snatching me from despair,
bringing me to a spacious place—
Your covenant of care.
Your quickened love streams through your saints,
the family of God,
and coursing through their throbbing veins,
I hear Your holy blood.
Each tear You wipe from failing eyes;
one touch made blind men see,
You healed the leper—made him clean—
Your strength now flows to me.
My festering flaws, by kindness bound,
You lift my downcast soul.
To New Jerusalem sojourned,
my chaos is consoled.
My Architect, You molded me,
sweet comfort draws me in.
The curtain rent in two for me,
effacing all my sin.
Imprint me, Abba, with Your love.
Shelter me in Your grace.
Caught in fate’s furnace, dwell with me.
Make me a sacred space.
