You’ve taken a step we all must take
To wash away all our mistakes
The journey seemed long and hard to bear
But you were loved and watched with great care
It has not ended. No, it has just begun
There is a battle raging that soon will be done
This step has placed you on the good side
Hang on tight, It’s a bumpy ride
Our mind is made, our goal is set
There is no time for us to fret
Our Captain will take on the raging seas
If we just humbly bow our knees
There are others out there left to be found
That’s why we must enter this battleground
We may die trying but that’s okay
We’ll see our Captain again someday
And if we do the things that are right
We’ll be brought back into His sight
So do your best until that day
When we can these words hear Him say,
“My child, why before me dost thou cry?
Know ye not that for my sake thou didst die?
The love and joy I feel for you, Words cannot express
Come my child, and join with me in this eternal rest.”
