Words of The Lamb

Beautiful butterfly,
with happy, smiling wings,
flying high in the sky,
dancing upon the sun’s beams.

Endlessly light and free,
bright joy filling the heart.
Forgot weighted worry—
left at the earthen start.

Oh, wondrous butterfly,
don’t fly so far away…
come near and tell how I
may complete transform’s way.

For here am I, earthbound…
a caterpillar still.
So, come near—Oh, ye crowned!
Near to my windowsill.
