Harpazo III

by Ollin Orphic

I
When blessed by you I find a way
To brave the perils of this life
At times I find it hard to stay
Truthful like a man is to his wife
But never have you left Eve when I hide
A single second or a day
Your presence can be felt inside
on pages that I never say
Unspoken is the loudest voice
The one we only hear when we are still
A path to follow with the choice
The call below is faint and shrill
A trumpet heralds brilliant light
Culminating glory in the fight

II
In darkest night coal on my lips
The sound of silence pouring in
Instead of outward it does shift
Away from life that’s rife with sin
Establish truth and hold it fast
Asking not for what one has
Prosperity will surely last
Let lack diminish it will pass
And new will days empower you
With their glory and their grace
Administered an angel who
Will watch your back see not their face
Thoughts are crucial, asking where
I forgo vanity for prayer

III
Under a crisp late autumn moon
I contemplate the way to tread
Upon the path , I was consumed
With sinful thoughts commanding overhead
Despite their efforts I am fine
No weapon formed shall prosper
Against me throughout all of time
So faith in god is what I foster
And now important more than just
When back is up against the wall
To pray with passion love and trust
That shrouded will you be when come the fall
A mustard seed was in my palm
It’s now a field and I am calm
